Horticultural Section:
The orchards of Behta agro-industry Corp. have been designed by the graduates and specialists of agriculture and irrigated in the form of 5-hectare plots amounting to an area of 1000 hectares.
The fruit gardens of Behta agro-industry Corp. currently produce fruits from various tree types and varieties including peach, nectarine, sour cherry, walnut, pistachio, cherry, apricot, tree-born greengages and plums, tree-born almond, hazelnut, apple and olive. Behta Company’s fruits feature a premium quality as opined by the customers from Iran as well as neighboring countries; it produces seven thousand tons of tree-born products annually and delivers them to the consumers in the domestic and foreign markets.
In line with the policies adopted for the complex’s development, there are plans devised and being implemented for improving the gardens, breeding new varieties and replacing the old trees; a decision has been made for eventually replacing all the trees with the new varieties that feature more suitable output and are deemed to be more adaptable to the climatic conditions.
There is a nursery producing 100 thousand saplings parallel to paving the way for offering the seedlings produced in this complex to the whole country.
